Looking Down from on High
An exquisitely carved mandril and armadillo look down from a high branch of the Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom park at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The Tree of Life is a sculpted 145-foot-tall, 50-foot-wide tree with the images of 325 animals carved into the bark (source: Wikipedia).
It's a truly amazing structure, and for the first time on this trip we took time to walk on one of the paths around the base of the tree and really appreciate the detail up-close.
(Looks best in Flickr's Lightbox view -- just hit "L" or click on the magnifying glass above the picture.)
