A Little Casual Reading
Disney bears Duffy and his girlfriend Shellie May read about all the latest Disney news in the France Pavilion at Epcot in Orlando, Florida.
Duffy was such a huge hit when he was introduced in Japan that Disney has recently introduced him in the US. Shellie May, his girlfriend, is still exclusively available in Japan. Samantha fell in love with her when we visited there this summer. Sam was very excited to see Duffy all over WDW and promptly bought one to keep Shellie May company.
Duffy was originally introduced in the US several years ago simply as "The Disney Bear," but never really caught on. It was only when he was introduced in Japan with a name, a back story, and a large line of limited edition outfits that he really caught on. It also helped that he was originally available only from one shop in one park (Tokyo DisneySea), which made him much harder to get.
This shot was very tough to get as the bears kept flopping over. My wife Michelle is out of the frame holding the magazine and stabilizing the models.
