As with the parades, people bought little plastic sheets to sit on while waiting for the park gates to open each morning.
Guests staying at one of Disney's hotels have a separate entrance that opens 15 minutes before the main gates, but the rides themselves and even the FastPass machines don't open until the official park opening time, so using this gate mostly just ensures you a spot at the front of the line for your first ride of the day.
