Durdle Door -Al Vista5 - Dorset Panorams-2174
Out and about with mine today at Durdle Door, Dorset, UK, photographed with my recently revived and repaired - Multiscope’s Al-Vista panoramic camera has a wider angle of view than my Panoram 4B. This Model 5 produces a negative 12x5” (30x12.5cm) big! It uses a slow clockwork mechanism to swing the lens and uses a set of fans of varying sizes which act as a "governor" to regulate the speed of swing.
New bellows were needed for the Al Vista, this the first trip out since fitting - thanks to Peter Goodrum for help with the lens holder
