Making the Grade
Construction of the new bike path up the hill in Big Hill Park. This path goes through an area of the park very few, if any, people have ever seen. The slope must be a 5% grade or less (right now nothing in Big Hill park is less than 7% and most are much more). This is mostly funded by a grant from the Wisconsin DOT to help connect off-road bike paths running from Janesville to Beloit, finally connecting to Illinois bike routes via a new bridge over Turtle Creek or the Confluence.
