THE COSMOPOLITAN of LAS VEGAS
The Cosmopolitan is Deutsche Bank's largest hotel/casino on the Las Vegas strip. Deutsche Bank did not intend to become the owner of a hotel/casino but they foreclosed on the partly built building and then found that they couldn't sell it. They then decided to finish it but changed it into a resort from its original design as a condominium building when they found out that there was a 21 year supply of unsold new condominiums in Las Vegas. This resulted in a hotel where the smallest rooms are over 700 square feet and the largest go to thousands of square feet. This made them market it as a high end luxury hotel. Last I heard it is still for sale.
