Glacier Lagoon in Greenland

The glacier lagoon is visible proof of the glacier's receding. Like a gigantic bulldozer, the outlet glacier has pushed up the gravel ridge or barrier enclosing the lagoon. These ridges of debris at the end or snout of a glacier are called end moraines or terminal moraines.
