SAMURAI ARMOR in OLD JAPAN

Fantastic 3-D photo of two guys modeling some authentic Samurai armor. Photographed in 1904 or 1905 by JULIAN COCHRANE. You can free-view it in depth using the parallel method.

 

NOTE : There are many vintage Japanese albumen photographs depicting men wearing old Samurai armor. However, 3-D images of the same subject are quite rare. I have only seen a few. In my opinion, the above is the best of them all. Here's one in close second place :

The Samurai were long outlawed by the time Cochrane took this photo. However, the real armor could be had in the numerous "Antique & Curio Shops" of the day.

 

The craftsmanship is amazing, to say the least.
