The Shop, Babydoll
This past month, I never had the chance to fully check out all the new mesh bits that have been popping around the grid. I’ve wanted to for a while, so I’m glad I finally took a breather to go do that today.
This body and head from TheShops is beautiful, truly truly like ‘the perfect body’. I love how the lights in SL hit the hip bones, how the collar and stomach feel so natural and organic. Its beautiful and yet perhaps a little too perfect for me. If I was new to Secondlife, I can’t imagine any reason why I wouldn’t want to fully adopt right into TheShop’s full mesh avatar; because it /is/ stunning. But I suppose it’s how long I’ve grown into my current identity that stops me from doing so and picking something that blends better with the identity that I grew to love and connect with.
Nonetheless I still wanted to take 1 simple picture with this Babydoll head and their full beta body. I picked the Babydoll head because its features were closer to the ones I like, but there are quite a few heads to pick from and they’re all equally delicate and amazing. I hope that the picture shows how wonderfully made this item is, and how truly stunning the body proportions are. If there was a game with this as a standard body and we have sliders and all that jazz, whoop - that’d be an awesome starter :>
The perfection of this body though oddly made me realize how through the years, even though I complain a ton about stretchy bits, weird UVs and angular bits in pictures - I’ve grown to love all the flaws that the SL body comes with. Its comforting and still not as hyperrealistic, which fits the way I like SL.
