OFFSET 2010 Daniel Eatock Show
Daniel Eatock ‘New Works’
Daniels show will be a week long process with two openings. It first opens Friday 24th September as part of Culture Night with an empty gallery. At the end of the evening a man on a high performance motorbike will attempt to draw a perfect circle in burnt rubber directly on the gallery floor. In the days following, the gallery will be used as a studio. Works will be made and hung in relation to the floor drawing in preparation for the second opening on Thursday 30th September as part of OFFSET2010.
Since Graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1998, Eatock has flit between subversive, idiosyncratic and occasionally whimsical art projects, and commercial work for the likes of The New York Times and Channel 4. In collaboration with Jeffery Vaska, Eatock developed the ubiquitous website portfolio platform, indexibit. He works from London on largely self-initiated projects.
