Lola and Ringa, 2009
Dear Ringa,
It¹s been almost a year since we went to the Farnsworth House together. I
know we¹ve both traveled a lot and seen a lot of glass houses in our
adventures. I figured it's been awhile, and i know you like receiving letters, even though we're kinda slow pen pals, but I thought I'd tell you the latest.
Mom has adopted more of us now. In our family, we now stand at...(there's so many I can't even count) There's me and Seymour and MIA (you met her-we've been teasing her all week about truffle fries) and Jimi and Jack and Jill. There's Alan and Brig. Did you ever meet Duncan the duck and his twin, Randy? They are also disco djs. Oh, and then there's Han Solopants. (He's so cool.) Sayid and Hurley from LOST live with us, though they are currently on vacation with Desmond after the big finale. Goldie (who lives with Aunt Tricia) almost got eaten by an annoying dog, but her gold sash saved her. We just
came back from NY, but you probably already know that. I¹m sorry your mom
forgot to take you along. You were missed.
NEWSFLASH: Seymour¹s pants are still falling down. When he walks away, I can almost see his crack! He really needs some repair. I'm now even darker than ever. I still refuse to take a bath and ever since I put on my David Bowie leather pants, Mom has agreed for we are both afraid they will shrink if I take them off. Unfortunately, I keep splitting all my pants (probably because I can't help eating all that yummy chocolate that Brig is always making).
Most of the time, Seymour and I split our time between Mom and Daddy-O¹s
house. Alan and Brig live with Daddy-O mostly, they liked it there as our
house was getting a little cramped. Seymour and I commute back and forth as
Mom is always traveling, and it gives us a good excuse to play lots of
music!
But I look forward to seeing you again...hopefully at the Pitchfork
Festival. I so love the new LCD Soundsystem record. Don¹t you? What's your favorite song? (don't tell me it's "Drunk Girls!" Did you see the youtube video?) I so love "Home," it reminds me how much I enjoyed listening to Peter Gordon & The Love of Light Orchestra with you last summer.
Write me news on Chi-town. Has the cat finally left you alone?
Love,
Your LA cousin Lola
