Certainly one of New Zealand's most photographed waterfalls, the Purakaunui Falls in the Catlins area on the South East Coast of the South Island is only a 20 minute walk from the road. The falls drop 20 metres over 3 tiers. Difficult to get the light right in a single frame with a partly overcast day letting shafts of direct sunlight move across the scene. This is where the transition to taking RAW files has really helped. I have put up two photos this week. The first is the iconic view from the platform over the river, and the second trying to find a fresh view, though there aren't many options given the closeness of the bush. Enjoy.
