Grand Army Plaza

The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Memorial Arch at Grand Army Plaza serves as a tribute to the Union heroes of the Civil War. Designed by John H. Duncan, who also conceived the plan for Grant's Tomb in Manhattan, it was unveiled by President Grover Cleveland in a ceremony in 1892. Visit www.mta.info for more NYC sightseeing ideas.
