3 Alarm Fire -11/30/2011

FDNY Battled a Third Alarm Blaze at 36 Gary Ct, After a little more than an hour, the FDNY has brought a three-alarm blaze under control.

 

Initial reports are that there is one person injured, but that injury isn't life-threatening. At least one firefighter is being treated for smoke inhalation.

 

The blaze, which reportedly broke out shortly before 8 p.m., engulfed the three-story 20-by-40 private house and then spread to about five other attached homes. With a partial building collapsed in the fire building.

 

The FDNY reported the blaze under control at 9:02 p.m., according to radio transmissions. The Red Cross is on the scene to survey the damage and assist any displaced residents.
