Learn when you shouldn’t use a polarizing filter.

There are few places in the world I’ve wanted to see more than Stokksnes, otherwise known as Vestrahorn. This place seems to have been created expressly for photographers: the overwhelmingly close mountain range with nothing obscuring its view, a black beach with dunes, and sea spray to create depth.

The tide pools helped tie together the foreground and midground, so I decided not to use a polarizing filter. Learn when you shouldn’t use a polarizing filter in the on-location vlog from Vestrahorn.
