A Costly Stream

After taking the Ferry at Malaig to the Isle of Skye, we made for our next stay in Edinbane (north west of Portree).

We passed a stream and waterfall on the highway, and I figured the walk through tall (and tick infested, as our Ballachulish trek had taught) grass was worth the pics.

I was wrong =)

Unlike typical Georgia mud, anything resembling dirt in Skye was more likely to be completely saturated. So what looked to be a short hike through some grass turned out to be a bog.

And of course, I was wearing dress clothes and shoes which sank several inches into lovely Skye water-mud.
