Bay Bridge and Pier Ruins

The last Friday appointment done, I decided to make a run for the SF bay area to snap a few sunset captures. Weather forecast for the weekend did not look good, so Friday seemed the best day to go. We arrived at my lookout point high above in the east bay and I quickly noticed fog has enveloped parts of San Francisco, but the Golden Gate area was still under sunshine. It's 6 PM and I still can make it to the Marin Headlands coming from the north on US-101, so I thought. Traffic looked bad when we hit I-80 east, so took the next exit and headed west towards the bay bridge. We crossed into San Francisco in no time but traffic off of the bridge was very slow, duh!!! It's Friday afternoon, what was I thnking. I'll never make it to the Marin Headlands in time, so headed for the Embarcadero, parked, grabbed the camera and started walking.

The western span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and part of Yerba Buena island in the distance.
