At the end of their initial police training course graduation ceremony at the Spin Boldak Police Training Center in southern Afghanistan, seventy-nine Afghan Border Police recruits shout their pledge to protect and serve Afghanistan, May 31, 2012. The recruits completed the eight-week course which taught lessons in marching, self-defense, radio communications, firearms, law, ethics and values, human rights and gender issues and response to terrorist incidents.
