Ozone

During the printing process of a laser printer, a small amount of ionized oxygen and nitrogen are produced due to the high voltages inside the printer which resulted in the phenomenon corona discharge.

The ionized oxygen and nitrogen are oxidised into ozone and nitrogen oxides. As this is a home-use laser printer, there is no ozone filter attached, therefore the small amount of ozone generated during printing will escape into the atmosphere.
