Lower school age children play on the original "jungle gym" during Summer Camp at North Shore Country Day. The playground equipment built in 1920 was the first of its kind in the US and was designed after a dinner party conversation between educators Carleton Washburne, Perry Dunlap Smith, and patent attorney Sebastian Hinton.
