NS' Springfield-Hannibal District has plenty of curves and grades west of Jacksonville. East of Jacksonville, however, it is a flat, straight 60 mph race track. Old US Route 36 runs right alongside the north side of the track all the way from Curran to Arnold. It's a perfect setup for summer pacing shots.
