Riverbank Cleanup 08

Oregon’s rivers, streams and lakes help make our state the

envy of the nation. But our waterways and the communities

around them need your help to keep looking beautiful by

removing invasive plants and garbage, planting, building,

painting, and much more.

The Portland Harbor Master is organizing

Willamette Riverbank Cleanup

We need your help!

WHEN: Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m

WHAT: Trash pick up along the shores of the Willamette

River in the downtown Portland area. We will be bagging the

trash, putting it on boats and sending it to a barge carrying

dumpsters. Help is needed in all aspects, pickers, boaters

(both to transport trash and to access steep areas), and

throwers on the barge.

WHERE: From the Sellwood Bridge to Swan Island
