Wye Valley flora- the early purple orchids have emerged, in the field above Tideswell Dale I visit regularly, along with some other wildflowers - I always enjoy seeing the purple splodges amongst the green when I turn the corner at the top of the path which approaches the field. They are not the most exotic of the wild orchids we have but I have a fondness for them and the limestone country they grow in.
