stained glass panel, modern abstract, purple and teal
This contemporary stained glass abstract panel is truly a one of a kind piece of modern art! The glass that inspired this piece was an experimental glass and only one large sheet was produced. I was lucky enough to obtain a piece of this glass, and it has been used in this panel top and bottom. The main colors are purple, teal and white, with a hint of pink in certain lighting conditions. A row of glass gems, a combination of clear and iridescent, highlights the colors found in the glass and sparkles in the sun. The gems are soldered with spaces in between to allow light through the spaces, to give it a somewhat lacy effect. The teal green piece is a Kokomo premium opaque glass that highlights the teal color found in the specialty glass.
