A dramatic setting above the valley. The church was abandoned in the 1960s and by 1974 was in such a state that the Diocese obtained a demolition order. Step in Lady Harrod, the Norfolk Churches Trust and the Friends of Friendless Churches who began work to put things right. When I first visited twenty years ago the churchyard was overgrown and there was corrugated iron in the church windows, but at least the church was secure and the structure was sound. Half a century on from that first involvement there is still much work to be done, but they're getting there.
