The laden flasks

Here's one that might not be everyone's cup of tea because of the objects obstructing the view of the locos.

Class 88 electro-diesel locomotive No. 88009 Prometheus pairs up with Class 68 diesel locomotive No. 68002 Intrepid to power the 12:00 Bridgwater F.D to Crewe Coal Sidings (Drs) laden nuclear flask working away from Yatton on Monday 11th May 2020.

The flasks in question, one of which is just visible in the photograph, contain spent nuclear fuel rods from, in this case, Hinkley Point power station in Somerset. They are on their way to the reprocessing facility at Sellafield in Cumbria.

Shot during my government-permitted exercise activity, which at that time was limited to one per day. On 10th May (the previous day) the UK government announced that as from 13th May, unlimited exercise activities outside the home each day would be permitted.
