Another annoying gap

I cannot pinpoint the date of this photo exactly, but it is sometime between Friday 6th August and Wednesday 11th August 1976. Those are the dates on which one notebook ends and the next one starts. I know it is the right timeframe because I can assign accurate dates to earlier and later frames on this roll of film, but for some reason I made no record of this particular shot.

Class 52 diesel-hydraulic locomotive No. D1065 Western Consort passes platform 12 at Bristol Temple Meads with what look like might be china clay empties on their way back west.

Naturally the "Western" is attracting some attention from the spotters congregated here at this traditionally popular location on the station, with its good view - back then - of Bristol Bath Road locomotive depot.

The large GPO sorting office and brick-built signal box visible on the right, dating from the 'sixties and the 'thirties respectively, have both since been demolished.
