A Lancastrian 6
An unrecorded Class 86 electric locomotive, originally known as type "AL6", enters Lancaster with an up West Coast Main Line service in August 1979. I can't be any more specific than that because there's a big gap in my surviving records for this period. I spent a week in the north west, some of it on the railways, but it seems I made no notes at all, or at least none that I can find now.
