Evening (explored)

I've uploaded a few shots taken from this location looking towards Loch Lomond, but at the risk of overdoing it this will be the last one. Probably.

The light was changing fast, as light often does, and crepuscular rays were forming then moving then fading then forming again all the time as the clouds drifted and the sun sank. I took quite a few shots of the rays over the loch that night but this one was easily my favourite.

Taken with the trusty 85mm F1.8, - which never fails to impress with its sharpness - while holding the ND grad filter in front of the glass. I really need to get round to buying a 67mm adaptor ring so I can use filters more easily with that lens.

It's not actually a stitched panorama - I just didn't like some of the blown highlights in the clouds and so cropped accordingly.

Update: Apparently this was Flickr's number 2 geotagged image for the UK in 2014, based on a "combination of social and interactive elements, mostly around faves and views." Cool!
