Calliope

Zeus wanted a necklace that portrayed his daughter's love of poetry. He commissioned all the beadweavers to weave their best representations. Zeus would allow his daughter to choose. Her choice would be called Calliope.

Calliope uses a beautiful beige AB hex bead along with two different sized copper colored seed beads to make the rymthic representation of oral poetry. A strawberry quartz (made of glass) cab is surrounded by copper and beige AB colored seed beads to accentuate the rosy color. A spiral rope with beaded toggle and loop completes the necklace.

The necklace measures approximately 20 inches (51cm) long with the focal hanging another 2 and 1/4 inches (6cm) longer.
