Desktop Meme
A repost of this pic for the desktop meme on FF.
This is my recently redesigned desktop- 5 desktops I can switch between, with a custom wallpaper for each. The idea is to keep distinct activities on certain desktops.
I have:
"Read" - pretty self explanatory
"Write" - Blog posts, papers, etc.
"Draw" - All manner of art related activity, including photo manipulation, illustrations, etc.
"Build" - this is for programming (I'm just learning)
"Get" - for bittorrent, file transfers, etc. (This computer is also my file server for the house)
Running Ubuntu 8.04
See desktop w/ programs open here: flickr.com/photos/nirak/2853608773/
Background images were made following this tutorial: www.blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/tutorials/create-a-trendy-ty... Except I used Gimp and Inkscape instead of photoshop. :)
update, aaaand here's the obligatory "rotating cube shot" except it's not a cube as it has 7 sides (including top and bottom) :) flickr.com/photos/nirak/2885663827/
