A place for silence - 2

The ancient church of Sant Pau del Camp is located in the old town of Barcelona, in the Raval neighborhood.

Outside its walls, the noise of its narrow streets is continuous and sometimes deafening... shops, bars and restaurants where hundreds of different languages are spoken, a barracks for the armed forces of the Spanish State located in Barcelona where Spanish is spoken, a Public School where it is intended that these children from all over the world can learn to speak our language, Catalan....and a disco, where the language of music rules.

 

And there...in the midle of all that jumble of noise, music and different languages, Sant Pau del Camp becomes a line of peace and silence. Its ancient thick walls protect us and give us a moment of calm. Sitting in its small and beautiful cloister we can escape for a while from the problems of our day to day and enjoy a time of reflection and introspection with ourselves.

Alone, but accompanied by the energy of the silent and wise stones of Sant Pau del Camp
