Ma Durga is Coming

HINT HINT HINT! Durga Puja now less than two months away, yeppiiee!!

Shiuli or Shephali (Parijat, Prajakta, Nyctanthes arbor-tristis) is Official State flower of West Bengal. This flower has great significance in Bengali Culture. First of all it reminds us that Devi Durga is coming and all Bengalese mind and body fills with joy. Then, its very nature - blooms at night and falls from the trees as dew drops in the early dawn and fills the morning air with delicate fragrance – it symbolizes love, sacrifice blah blah! There are those zillions of poetry dedicated or related to this flower.

Lets not get into all these, just enjoy the photo and wait for Durga Puja with anticipation of fun and food :)
