Something that would make me shift

From a dull and boring day

To a fun and merry play

 

I woke up to a cheerful noise

A box wrapped in colorful toys

I opened it with hopeful gaze

And found a shock that made me daze

 

She was there, my friend, my dear

She jumped out and screamed "I'm here!"

She made me jump back in fright

She laughed and said "Gotcha, right?"

 

I shook my head and smiled wide

And pulled her in by my side

She said "I'm sorry, it's a prank"

And we both fell on the bed and sank ♥
