The F52 or Uxahryggivegur as it was a decade ago, winding its way past the little knoll of Meyjarsæti and the Hofmannaflöt. North of Þingvellir South Iceland.

I read or was told that the young maidens of Iceland would gather here to watch the young men engage in various Icelandic 'sports' on the flat ground to the left... seems likely :-)
