THE ARTIST
Born at the dawn of the 1960s in a small village in Italy, Maria Siri Rossi, by her origins, speaks with her hands, and with her hands she shapes the earth to give it life.
Self-taught, this artist sees herself as an emotional creator who tries, through emo ons, to transform her vision of life. Sculpture imposed itself on her, in an in me dialogue between her hands and the material.
THE WORK:
Close to nature and concerned about its fragility, it is quite natural that the idea of installation as Free as a bird came. Beyond the discovery of a territory, the intention of this ar is to create an ephemeral painting in a happy nature and always in motion.
Birds are, for this ar ste, the link between water, land and air. In a context of the same and ever-changing landscape of the Seudre, these birds, between realism and gura f, challenge us to bring us to a reflection on the beauty and fragility of nature. Their long colorful wings, ready to fly, not far from the shore, between sky and sea do not make a ruckus. These birds are dumb. Our reflections will be accompanied only by the song of wind and water. Maria Siri Rossi's birds dart through the air carrying our dreams with them.

Née à l’aube des années 60 dans un pe t village d’Italie, Maria Siri Rossi, de par ses origines, parle avec les mains, et avec les mains, elle façonne la terre pour lui donner vie.
Autodidacte, ce e ar ste se considère comme une créatrice émo onnelle qui essaye, au travers des émo ons, de transme re sa vision de la vie. La sculpture s’est imposée à elle, dans un dialogue in me entre ses mains et la matière.
L’ŒUVRE :
Proche de la nature et soucieuse de sa fragilité, c’est tout naturellement que l’idée de l’installa on Libre comme un oiseau s’est présentée. Au-delà de la découverte d’un territoire, l’inten on de ce e ar ste est de créer un tableau éphémère dans une nature heureuse et toujours en mouvement.
Les oiseaux sont, pour ce e ar ste, le trait d’union entre l’eau, la terre et l’air. Dans un contexte mari me et changeant du paysage authen que de la Seudre, ces oiseaux, entre réalisme et gura f, nous interpellent pour nous amener à une ré exion sur la beauté et la fragilité de la nature. Leurs longues ailes colorées, prêtes à l’envol, pas très loin du rivage, entre ciel et mer ne font pas de chahut. Ces oiseaux sont muets. Nos ré exions ne seront accompagnées que par le chant du vent et de l’eau. Les oiseaux de Maria Siri Rossi s’élancent dans les airs en portant nos rêves avec eux.
