Vespa crabro

This was taken at the end of our long lost Summer of 2015, these two Hornets approach each other in some form of greeting/communication, they can be seen doing this regularly but it happens very quickly, they touch and then go on their way, the light was fading so flash was used creating a dark background and illuminating the subject, ideal for the brightly coloured Hornets :)
