High Five [Explored 30/09/2015]

Just one more from my Hornet session at the weekend, at this point I had donned my Flash as the light was going and I thought it would create a nice black background for the brightly coloured Hornets in flight.

Having spent a good few hours observing their habits and flight patterns I noticed that when one approaches another they almost scrum down in the air for some sort of recognition or greeting, this happens very quickly and if your lucky enough with your positioning etc you might just get them both in focus, this shot is very close but a split second later would have probably been spot on, until next year eh! :)
