Day 3 (8)
Journal Entry #2: Saturday, September 17, 2011. Time unknown.
I survived the bombings. I have boarded all the windows of my house and have barricaded the doors. I am lucky to have a good amount of supplies, including a pistol, rifle, machete, several days’ worth of food, and a wind turbine, although I have been unable to hook it up to the electricity in my house . I have devised a plan to search the surrounding area building by building, searching for more supplies and other survivors.
I have also been lucky to be able to study the ‘infected’ over the past few days. As of right now I know 4 things for sure:
1. The majority of the ‘infected’ are vulnerable to sunlight, except for some that appear to be immune.
2. The ‘infected’ are deaf, as I accidentally shot off a round while there were some outside, and they did not react to it.
3. The ‘infected’ are extremely sensitive to movement, as they saw me scratch my head and immediately began to come at my house, fortunately they gave up after a couple of hours...
4. Last but not least, at night the ‘infected’ run around at night moaning scavenging for meat.
Today I found an old solar kit from when I was a little kid and started to build it. It was so beautiful outside that I couldn’t resist working on it out there. Just to my luck, a pair of the ‘infected’ saw me. Luckily I was able to get inside before they could reach me...
