Day 195/365 - Waiting
[5:23pm]
I had a concert with J4J today so after I crawled out of bed at around 12 and I did some stuff around the house, we went over to Barefoot Community Church around 3. We did some sound tests for about an hour to get the levels right and after singing a few songs as practice Jeremy, Chelsea and I drove to McDonalds for dinner.
We talked mainly about Monty Python and I was kinda suprised at the fact that most of them had "Quest for the Holy Grail" almost memorized. Scary.
Do you ham and Jam and Spam alot?
We got up to leave and once we got to the car we realized that Jeremy had lost his keys. It took him a while but he finally realized that he had thrown them away with his food. So he had to go and dig through the trash to find them.
Brilliant.
Anyway once we got back I walked around and took some more pictures and got set up for the show.
From 6 to 7 the younger group did their thing, and then Jeremy showed his video that he did for Heath a 10yo who's had a heart transplant. The entire concert was dedicated to him and all the money that they made from it was given to his family to help cover the medical costs. After that Heath had a drum solo and then it was our turn.
My piano solo was decent, actually It was pretty good considering I'd never played standing up before. My leg shakes when I'm playing piano in front of people for some reason, I guess its nerves or something, but anyway it made it difficult for me to stand up. Of course It'd would have been funny had I just fallen down in the middle of a song.
I played a 2 more songs on the piano and the rest I played guitar. It was alot of fun but mildly nerve racking because I lost my music prior to the show, somebody had picked up my music by accident (Or So I though), so I was out of luck when it came to that.
But of course Idiot me forgot that I had put it back in my case so it was there the entire time.
Anyway the show was great, I had alot of fun and hopefully we raised alot of money for Heath and his family, but now its late, I'm watching Monty Python and I'm going to bed.
It's been a long weekend...
