American Bald Eagle (rw0901-01-040)
I went to Colvill Park in Red Wing, Minnesota last Friday (Jan 2). There were a few eagles around but most were out of range of my 400mm.... except for this individual sitting in a tree on my side of the river. Unfortunately, he was pretty well screened with branches and partly in the shadow of a tree trunk. I moved around a lot looking for a vantage point where at least his head wasn't behind branches and twigs. There will be plenty of time this winter to go back and try again. :)
