after the earthquake, many foriegn organisation has given lots of money, help 'n support to the whole kutch. in return, many has established their own workshop taking work from these local women and paying them enough for their handwork. now, these people know the value of their handwork, so don't expect good quality work for less. if the price is less then for sure the work is poor, this is what i have experienced in my trip.
