Arctostaphylos uva ursi 'Wood's Compact' (Wood's Compact Kinnikinnick)

Part shade to full sun. Good for erosion and weed prevention. Low growing woody ground cover with dark green leaves over red branches. Bears pinkish white flowers followed by red berries in autumn. To 6 inches tall, 4 foot spread, moderate growth. Hardy to USDA Zone 3 (-40 degrees F). Spring blooming. Loves rugged conditions like sandy areas or gravel of riverbanks. Plant in well-drained soil. Prefers exposed, open sites.
