VERMILION FLYCATCHER Pyrocephalus rubinus. A male Vermilion Flycatcher is perching atop seed pods in a treetop at the Bosque Protector Jerusalem a little to the north of Guayllabamba in northern Ecuador at 9:22 AM on November 12, 2018.

 

The Vermilion Flycatcher belongs to the family Tyrannidae. It is found from the southwestern United States south to Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, northeastern Argentina, and Brazil.
