Just in case

An old man with a beard so wide,

Stood licking his ice cream with pride.

The sun was hot, the scoop was tall,

But gravity came — and so did the fall.

 

It plopped on his beard with a splat and a sploosh,

Turning his chin into minty mush.

Kids pointed and laughed, "Look, a dessert face!"

He grinned, “Beards are storage — just in case.”
