700FYB Blagdon Lioness
This Bedford SB3 / Duple C41F was new to O G A Lyons , trading as Blagdon Lioness in December 1959. In January 1968 the business was transferred to Blagdon Lioness Coaches Ltd. It was withdrawn in June 1975 and sold to Gantley , West Cranmore. It later became a motor caravan.
In September 1974 Blagdon Lioness bought a new Bedford YRQ / Plaxton C45F with a 50% new bus grant. This coach , YYB967N , was regularly used on the Tuesday Market day service to Wells. But today the Wells service is operated by 700FYB which is waiting in Wells bus station to return to Blagdon.
The Tuesday only service to Wells was operated until September 1997 when it passed to ABus as 683.
