Portrait

I don't normally shoot people outside of my own family but the other day I went to my local photography group and we were given a talk by this chap on event photography in low light without flash and promotional shots in natural light. At the end we did a bit of a practical and he urged us to try and recreate a "Hollywood" portrait style. I shot this in a dark church with some spotlights on around a stage - he sat at the foot of the stage and I stood above him on a chair using an old 50mm Pentax lens. I thought it was quite a clever technique. It looks like I am face to face with him but am actually looking down from above!
