June is our prime time month for severe weather here in South Central Nebraska. Every year this window of the severest weather of season varies. The June 2013 was prime for our severe weather events and was right on time!
Local Chase Day. I had ventured south out of Kearney knowing that storm development was already in progress though severe thunderstorm warnings just being issued for Dawson and Buffalo Counties in Nebraska. Projected storm path was just to the west of Kearney and south so I ventured down to the Hwy 6 corridor to play ball.
Between Axtell and Funk Nebraska, a nice setup was happening right in front of my location. I was just on the interior side of the developing cell as this wall cloud had formed. It would get undercut severely and would eventually go outflow dominate as it moved south.
