The original roundabout

The story goes back to 1840 when Audubon County Iowa was being surveyed and the only thing the surveyor had on hand was a cottonwood branch to stick into the ground to locate his findings. Now, this 100-foot tall cottonwood tree is a local and national landmark and has thousands of visitors a year.
