Deep MOD - Shallow DOF
Canon EOS 5D mark II | ISO 200 | 50mm | f/1.4 | 1/160 sec
We are making ceramic restorations now. It's pretty interesting. The 3D imaging and modelling program for teeth is quite cool and fascinating. It's a lot more interesting and controllable (as it can take account the occlusal space and morphology) than the traditional fill 'n' drill method with direct composite fillings I think. Of course the ceramic fillings are more expensive as the machinery too. :/
ps. those who are not familiar with dentistry, MOD (=mesial-occlusal-distal), refers to a specific type of restoration that goes from the contact to adjacent tooth through the occlusal surface to another contact.
